Maintenance/Service Plans

Eastern American Data / Voice's Service Agreement, contracts and Maintenance Plans encompass periodic preventive maintenance inspections of your telephone systems, including over all systems' tests and adjustments.

EADV schedules preventive maintenance inspections according to the particular circumstances and components pertaining to your system.

Through our Service Agreements, Contracts and Maintenance Plans, Eastern American will perform any service that is necessary to maintain the your system in good working order, and additional costs will not be imposed, provided your system is subjected to normal use and reasonable care. In cases of misuse, willful destruction or theft, equipment is repaired or replaced at your expense on a cost only basis.

Eastern American responds to any routine trouble or complaints within 24 hours, and emergency situations are attended to within four hours of notification. (An emergency situation shall be deemed to exist when a condition arises that prevents the customer from making or receiving calls through the installed system. The customer agrees to promptly report any conditions requiring service or correction, and to grant free access to the location of the equipment.)

Additionally, Eastern American serves as your representative in all dealings with the network telephone company or with other vendors associated with the your telephone system. This includes, serving as a liaison for repairs that affect your communications systems. (Eastern American cannot by liable for any acts of commission, omission or ineffeciency on the part of any vendor not under its direct efficiency on the part of any vendor not under its direct control. It will, however, employ any resources at its disposal to bring about proper compliance by the vendor of the customer's grievances.)

Service Contracts and Maintenance Plans cover maintenance and repairs resulting from normal use and operation of the equipment. It does not cover damage or destruction resulting from flood, fire, "Act of God," or other casualty. Service or repairs made by anyone other than Eastern American or their authorized representative, this agreement shall, at Eastern American's option, become null & void.

Emergency Service — refer to earlier changes about hours. All calls received—other than 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday (excluding Holidays)—are considered emergency service and are subject to an additional service fee.
